This new Driver CPC is required if you have NOT already got the C1 category (goods vehicle to 7.5 ton) on your licence and you want to drive a lorry to earn a living. Generally this is for people who have passed their car test after January 1997. It is another theory test which is made up of seven case studies, each one with six to eight questions, with a possible maximum score of 50. The pass mark for the LGV test is 40. The case studies test will take about one and a half hours to complete and costs £30. When you have passed this you will need to do the Vehicle Safety Test at the test centre which takes 30 minutes and the test costs £55.
SCF Driver Training can provide training to get you through both the theory and practical parts of the driver CPC.
